Dr. Wendy Wang was born in Taiwan and immigrated to Vancouver with her family in 1998. Inspired by a lifelong dream to become a veterinarian, she pursued her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology at the University of British Columbia before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.
At WholeHeart Pet Virtual Vet, Dr. Wang provides compassionate, personalized care for pets and their families. She primarily works with dogs and cats, combining her Western medical training with a special interest in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, and food therapy.

Dr. Shuichi Tabei is a veterinarian with 8 years of experience, specializing in aquatic veterinary medicine and epidemiology, as well as providing primary health care for beloved companion animals such as cats and dogs. His unique expertise bridges both specialized and everyday veterinary care, ensuring pets receive comprehensive, thoughtful treatment.

Dr. Arissa Vasconcelos is a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian who graduated in 2019. With a postgraduate degree in Small Animal Surgery, she is highly skilled in performing both simple and complex soft tissue procedures. In addition, Dr. Arissa has extensive experience in small animal medicine and emergency care, allowing her to provide comprehensive support for pets in every stage of life.
As part of WholeHeart Pet by Chicken Soup for the Soul, Dr. Arissa combines her surgical expertise with a heartfelt commitment to helping pets heal and thrive—delivering trusted care for animals and peace of mind for their families.

Dr. Saskia Cowles has had a lifelong passion for animals, growing up with German Shepherds and riding horses from a young age. She began her career as an equine vet before transitioning to small animal practice, where she has spent more than 10 years caring for dogs and cats.
At WholeHeart Pet Virtual Vet by Chicken Soup for the Soul, Dr. Cowles brings her deep compassion and experience to every appointment. With a heart for animal welfare, she is dedicated to helping pets live healthier, happier lives while giving families the trusted support they need.

Dr. Vicky Jean McGee graduated from Onderstepoort Veterinary Faculty in South Africa in 2020. Since then, she has worked across South Africa in a variety of practices, treating an incredible range of animals—from rhinos, elephants, and lions to domestic pets, horses, production animals, and even exotic species. She is also a devoted pet owner herself, with a horse and two dogs (a spaniel and an Australian cattle dog). Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys running and spending time immersed in nature.
Passionate about animals, people, and the natural world, Dr. McGee believes that every day in veterinary medicine is an opportunity to learn, grow, and share in the bond between pets and their families. As part of Chicken Soup for the Soul WholeHeart Pet, she embraces the ups and downs of this journey with compassion and dedication—caring for pets and supporting the people who love them, with a whole heart.

Dr. Daniel graduated with his degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and went on to complete his Honours degree in 2014. Over the past 13 years, he has gained extensive experience in private practice, including nearly five years in a specialist referral practice. With a strong passion for small animal internal medicine, Dr. Daniel is dedicated to providing pets with the highest standard of care.

Dr. Laís has extensive experience in small animal clinical care and surgery, with specialized expertise in nutrition and anesthesia. Passionate about veterinary medicine, she is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care while staying current with the latest advancements to ensure the best outcomes for every patient.
